FRASER RIVER

The Fraser River is looking very nice right now, clarity is very good for Cutthroat fishing in all backwaters ...with this warm weather which is odd for this time of year...great time to get out with the kids and have a fire with hotdogs and catch a few fish ...remember hatchery retention only

With the fry hatch expected to be a bit earlier this year with the warmer water...target any mainstream area'sthat have had pink salmon spawning , which is just about anywhere from the Vedder up to Hope

Best baits are worms , small spinners, egg pattern, stonefly nymphs and flesh flys

 Sturgeon fishing can be Ok at this time of year , but we generally do not fish until mid march as fish are basically in a hibernating mode and will often lay on baits making for snagged fish fairly common...they are starting to wake up with the recent very warm spring like weather

The Eulachons/Smelt will start showing in early april until mid may and thats when they will wake up and start feeding heavy once again

CHILLIWACK/VEDDER RIVER

Chilliwack/Vedder River is into great shape with mild temps...fish coming in daily now, better numbers starting to congregate ...great weather to fish ...10c + most days...but that will change at some point.

We do need cooler temps to settle down the snow melt that comes into play in the afternoon..get out an try for some great Steelie action.....usual baits roe, woolties, rubberworms, even live dew worms, coloradoe spinners and jigs fished under floats

Cutties down by the mouth of the Fraser is another option

HARRISON RIVER

The Harrison River is fairly quiet right now...cutties are in there , but better fishing in the spring when the Fraser rises and pushes fish into this system..egg patterns , flesh flys and fry patterns once march comes around

CHEHALIS RIVER

The Chehalis is holding its own with good water levels...Steelies in here also...not great amounts but good fish though...carefull when hitting the canyon slopes
